We arrived in Cairns on Sunday (local time) and stayed at Tropic Days Hostel, its a fantastic Hostel, outside of the town centre, but with a free bus to town regularly, the Staff are so friendly, and help with tour booking and advice.
We took a few days to get over jet lag, once we had we went Snorkelling! I was really scared of the whole experience to begin with and was practically hyperventilating, but after a second go I loved it! Saw so many pretty fish, giant clams, turtles and swam amongst the coral.
Lee even went further and did some diving in his snorkel kit, couldn't get him out of the water! Well with the weather as it was the boat was pretty choppy!
Got very sunburned, they call it snorkelers tan (all over your back and back of arms) so chilled out in the lovely Cairns hostel for a few more days.
I went on Uncle Brian's Tour, with Cousin Paul, Elmo, Gus the Bus and Bruce the Highway. I would highly recommend this tour, Cousin Paul had us all laughing with his crazy stories.
It was a bit rainy but we saw the "Mysterious Girl"/ hair advert Milla Milla Waterfall, had a swim and did the Clique Hair Flick...I had too!
We Arrived in Airlie Beach yesterday, its a beautiful setting, and there's a Reef Festival on this weekend, so free gig in the park and a funfair!

In these bags is our lives for the next ten months!
We fly to Australia tonight, the flight is about 26 hours to Sydney and stops in Bangkok for about an hour, then we have a small flight to Cairns where the adventure begins!
